Monongahela Valley Hospital offers
Multiphasic Blood Analysis
Just a small blood sample can detect diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys and circulatory system.
Monongahela Valley Hospital is sponsoring a Multiphasic Blood Analysis Screening, Saturday, Sept. 29, from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center. Registration is required.
On each blood sample, 36 individual tests will be performed that can reveal anemia, lung disease, diabetes, leukemia, high cholesterol, blood disorders and much more. Additional screenings, including Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) and Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA), will also be available for a small additional cost.
MVH’s Multiphasic Blood Analysis is open to the public at a cost of only $25 per person. Testing is done by pre-registration and appointment only. Registrations are being accepted until Wednesday, Sept. 26 — Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at 724-258-1282. Participants are asked to provide the full name and complete address of the physician to whom their test results will be sent.
A 12-hour fasting period is required prior to testing. Persons on medication should consult their physicians.
Medical professionals from the laboratory at MVH will administer the testing. The procedure takes between 15 and 20 minutes. Light refreshments are served at the end of the tests.
