Learn About Bariatric Surgery from MVH Surgeon

(May 7, 2019 - Carroll Township, Pa.)

Hiram Gonzalez, M.D., a surgeon at Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH), will discuss MVH's Weight Control and Wellness Program, including bariatric surgery, at two free education sessions, Monday, June 3, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Uniontown and Wednesday, June 5, at the Monongahela Valley Hospital HealthPlex in Rostraver. Both programs begin at 6 p.m.

Dr. Gonzalez will explain the three types of bariatric surgery MVH offers. The surgery is a weight reduction option for people struggling to lose 100 pounds or more.

"Several of the people who have had the surgery at MVH have lowered their blood pressure and even eliminated the need for diabetes medications," reports Dr. Gonzalez.

To register, visit the program registration page on the Monongahela Valley Hospital Web site or call 724-258-1333.
