Help End The Epidemic - MVH Hosts Substance Abuse Education Program

(April 7, 2017 - Carroll Township, Pa.)

Health care professionals are encouraged to attend Monongahela Valley Hospital's (MVH) substance abuse education program on Wednesday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 20, at 8 a.m. in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center.

This educational program features medical professionals and other experts who will explain the dynamics of substance abuse. Participants will learn about the patterns of harmful use of any substance for mood-altering purposes, with emphasis on the heroin epidemic.

Wednesday night will feature talks by Washington County Coroner S. Timothy Warco state senator Camera Bartolotta; Thursday, state representative, Justin Walsh, will speak. Pharmacist Richelle Lehman will speak both days about her personal path to recovery.

Health care professionals in attendance will be able to receive three CEU credits provided by Home Instead Senior Care.
