Position: Certified Unit Clerk (Full Time)
Description: MVH is looking for a certified full time unit clerk. Responsibilities include: 1. Answers telephone/intercom and records and delivers messages, distributes and directs visitors. 2. Functions as a liaison for the Nursing in interdepartmental communications, i.e., Dietary – notification of changes in diets. 3. Prepares requisition forms for laboratory and x-ray tests and procedures. 4. Prepares and assembles new charts, secures previous admission charts and records. 5. Enters temperatures, blood pressure and other data on graphic sheets as obtained from physicians’ or nurses’ records. 6. Transcription of various physician orders as supervised by charge nurse. 7. Position: The Orthopedic Group: Practice Administrator
Description: The Orthopedic Group Practice Administrator is responsible for the development and execution of The Orthopedic Group strategy and growth. Overall leadership and management of The Orthopedic Group. Develops and implements annual plans for continued growth in patient volume. Manages operations at the Orthopedic Practices including revenue cycle and HR Functions with a commitment to patient satisfaction. Position: Physical Therapist: Part Time
Description: Monongahela Valley Hospital, located 30 miles south of Pittsburgh Part Time Physical Therapist who will organize, conduct, and supervise medically prescribed physical therapy programs to assist patients in restoring function to their fullest potential; prevent disability following disease or injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. Summary of position: • Evaluate through specialty tests and develop a plan of treatment for the patient upon referral and/or consult with physician and give recommendations as to the type of treatment which is indicated per patient diagnosis. • Administer variety of treatments associated with physical medicine and rehabilitation, specifically, physical measures utilizing the properties of electrical stimulation, heat, cold, water, sound, massage, mobilization and the use of therapeutic exercise and rehabilitative procedures including training in functional activities with our without assistive devices, for the purpose of limiting or correcting any physical or mental conditions. • Perform treatment procedures following prescribed methods and observes treatment effects; recommends change to physician if indicated. • Confer with patients pertaining to home treatment program as prescribed. Discuss care requirements, and plans with patients so as to secure their cooperation and understanding. • Maintains standards as set by American Physical Therapy Association regarding treatment procedure and professional code of ethics. • Perform other duties as assigned. Position: Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse Program (LPN to RN) (Full-Time; Hospital)
Description: The position will participate in the tuition reimbursement program (which will assist in paying for classes form an approved institution for LPN to RN). Tuition reimbursement program pays 100% of the tuition for up to 9 credits per school year (September 1 to August 31). LPNs hired into the program will have 24 months from the date of hire to obtain RN licensure. LPNs who are hired into the program will also agree to work for Mon Valley hospital as a Registered Nurse for a period of 24 months after they receive their licensure, or after the last tuition reimbursement payment, whichever is longer. Description: Mon-Vale Professional Services, Inc. (MVPSI), a subsidiary for Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc. This Certified Medical Assistant will support a physician which has two offices, One in McMurray and another in Monongahela. This position is required to go to both offices and float to other MVPSI Physician Practices as needed. The Medical Assistant will provide both front and back end services. Position: Registered Dietitian: Clinical Nutrition & Diabetes Dept.
Description: Summary of position: • Works with Director, physicians, multidisciplinary team, and Clinical Nutrition and Diabetes Department (CND) staff to achieve program objectives and enhance clinical outcomes. • Reviews medical orders for all inpatient diets and modifies diets per Clinical Privileges in the provision of MNT. • Participates in the communications plan established for the CND. Represents the CND and MVH to physicians, local and national organizations, and community groups. • Based upon hospital needs, identifies and utilizes available and appropriate community services to enhance the CND and MVH’s services. • Participates in design and implementation of standards as defined by The American Diabetes Association for Outpatient DSME and Joint Commission Advanced Certification for Inpatient Diabetes Care. • Participates in the coordination and development of nutrition and/or diabetes training sessions for hospital staff as needed. • Mentors other clinical staff members in provision of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition physical assessment, and outcomes management practice. • Follows the documentation and education requirements set forth by the DPP via CDC&P. • Perform other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with professionals in diverse disciplines; experience with electronic medical records; and other computer skills using Outlook, Word, and Excel. Requirements/Education/License: 1. Registered Dietitian (RD) or registration eligible (RD exam must be passed within 1 year of hire date). 2. Current professional Registered Dietitian (RD) registration maintained through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). 3. Current PA state license as Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) with maintenance of PA Board of Nursing state license requirements for RD. 4. A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in a hospital setting preferred.
