Monongahela Valley Hospital staff and its affiliated companies have donated another record-breaking amount of non-perishable goods to local food banks during the 2015 Scouting for Food campaign. This year's grand total of 13,770 units was the highest donation in the past eight years. The donated goods are counted using a unit system that encourages nutritious donations. Departments and services that collected the most were The Center for Fitness and Health; Administration, Fiscal, Information Systems and Corporate Accounting; Physical Therapy and 5-East. Shown with some of the boxes ready for transport are, from left to right, MVH Physical Therapy Aide/Secretary Cheryl McLaughlin; Payroll Clerk Antoinette Hopkins; Center for Fitness and Health Financial Coordinator Karen Sheridan; Sonny Maxson and Dennis Crouch, volunteers for the Fayette City Food Bank in Belle Vernon, and Patty Sabo, chairman of the Allenport Food Pantry. Absent was John Gulick, coordinator of the Monongahela Food Pantry. Share this article:
