Flu Clinics Jan. 12 and 20 Open to the Public
(January 9, 2015 - Carroll Township, Pa.)
As the flu continues its grip on the region, Diane Emes, M.D., of Mon-Vale Primary Care Practices, reminds area residents that the flu season won't end for several months and it's not too late to receive a flu shot to help protect against it.
Two Flu Clinics will be held at Dr. Emes' office at the Center in the Woods, 130 Woodland Court, Brownsville, on Monday, Jan. 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m.
Most insurances will cover the cost of the flu vaccines including pediatric doses and the high-dose vaccine for those age 65 and older.
Those especially vulnerable to the flu are young children and people age 65 years and older.
For anyone who cannot attend the Flu Clinics, Healthy Directions at the Finleyville Giant Eagle also has an ample supply of vaccine and offers shots Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For more information about the Flu Clinics, contact Dr. Emes' office at 724-330-5290 or the office of James Solan, M.D., at 724-326-9945.
